How to create and manage Shop Products List module
The following details how to create and manage the contents of a 'Shop products list module'. The Shop products list module draws its content from products that have already been set up in the eCart.
Create the module
The Products List Module is fundamentally the same as any other module and is managed in the same way. The following are the fields in the admin for managing a shop products list Module.
Go to Admin\Modules\Shop Products List (in the drop down box)\click here to create a new Shop Products List module.

Module ID | Unique ID of the module. Used to specify placement in ‘section homepages’ and ‘section modules’ |
Admin title: | This title will appear in the admin only. |
Heading: | This title will appear on the public website and will be visible to users. |
CSS option: | As with all modules an alternative style may be available. If there is an alternative style selecting it here will apply it to the module. |
Shop category: | Lists product categories existing in the eCart. Select the category with the products you wish to display. Top Sellers List: By selecting default category “Top Sellers List” the module will display by default your top selling products. mandatory |
Product ID’s | Option to display specified products from different categories; this over rides the category list. |
Display Type: | Defines the layout of the module Tiled: Tiles the information about each product down the page (depending on whether it is a single or double width module). List: Displays one product image at a time, and lists the details of all products below that image. It displays the image for the first product in the list, and hovering over products displays the corresponding image. mandatory |
Image Size | Defines the size of the image show within the module: Thumbnail: Displays the thumbnail image size Standard: Displays medium image size mandatory |
Link Type: | Displays a link or purchase option. Link to category: Module links back to category only Purchase options: displays the ‘add to cart’ and ‘buy now’ buttons. When the user clicks these it will add all of the products selected to their cart. mandatory |
No. displayed: | The number of products you wish to display. For example, if you specify ‘3’ then the first three products in the category will be displayed. mandatory |
Single or double width: | Defines the format of the module: Single width limits the width of the module to a single column and so the products will be displayed in an vertical manner Double width displays the products in double width format. The actual layout on the page will depend on the ‘display type’ you have selected. If ‘tiled’ then the products will tile across the module which means they will probably display in two columns. If ‘list’ then the products will display in a single list but stretch across the double width. |
