Access Levels: show/hide content

Date: 28-May-2010

Administrators can specify the degree to which content behind an access level wall can be seen by non-logged in users or users that do not have the requisite access level.

The content can either be:
  • Visible: which means that users can see links to the content but when they click on them they get to the 'restricted access' page; or
  • Hidden: which means that the link to the content will not appear in the article list module, public profile module, blog module, or search page at all.
This function will impact the following areas of the site: article list module, blog list module, personal profile module, search page.

Administrators can manage the status of the access level content by checking/unchecking the 'hide content' box on the Access Level Edit page (/_admin/accesslevels_edit.asp)
